Περιγραφή
George Papageorgiou is an accountant who has graduated from the Department of Accountancy at TEI of Thessaly (Greece). He also graduated, as a mathematician, from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Patras (Greece). He holds a Master of Sciences (M.Sc) in Applied Economics and Economic Policy from the Economics Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He also holds a Ph.D degree diploma in the Economics of Taxation from the Economics Department of the University of Thessaly (Greece). In the early of his professional career he has worked as a programmer writing accounting applications in C and C++. Today he is working as an accountant and tax consultant for more than twenty years. His academic career includes one year teaching of Economics at the National and Kapodistrian University, another one year at the Economics Department of University of Thessaly and from 2007 until now he is teaching at TEI of Thessaly. Moreover he participates in research programs organized by the University of Thessaly and Athens University of Economics and Business. He also acts as a referee in the European Journal of Operational Research. He has presented papers in International Conferences and has published in Journal of Environmental Planning and Management, Czech Economic Review, Modern Economy, etc. His research interests are in the fields of firms? taxation, public economics, optimal control and game theory applied in economics.
